Strength & Balance
Loch Lomond & The Trossachs Countryside Trust delivers a free weekly programme of wellbeing activities supporting people to be more active, more often, connecting with each other and nature. All our activities are volunteer led and suitable for all abilities including those living with dementia and their carers. As well as our weekly health walks in Callander, meeting at Ancaster Square every Tuesday at 10.20am we provide Strength and Balance exercises classes at McLaren Leisure Centre. The classes are FREE, although any donation is much appreciated, and there is no need to book. The classes are held every Tuesday, 2pm - 3pm in the 1st floor Dance Studio, lift available.
As we age, maintaining strength and balance becomes crucial to prevent falls and injuries. The simple exercises are effective and can be done seated or standing. Strength and Balance exercises focus on building strength, improving balance and mobility which may help build confidence and improve our overall wellbeing. The classes are always welcoming, fun and a great opportunity to socialise with others.
If you would like to find out more about our activities please get in touch with Fiona on 07843 842 323 or fiona@trustinthepark.org
