About the McLaren Leisure Centre
Our Priorities
McLaren Leisure is managed by a team of devoted staff and board of professional volunteer directors. We are committed to providing sport and leisure facilities as well as services for local schools, the community, and visitors to the area; in a sustainable manner. We are a not-for-profit organisation, meaning any profits are used to help maintain and improve our facilities; so that we can keep providing sport and leisure services for the local area.
Fair Work Commitment: At McLaren Leisure, we are committed to the Scottish Government’s Fair Work principles. We are proud to be a Fair Work employer were all of our staff are paid at least the Real Living Wage. We provide appropriate and effective channels for worker voice, including an employee forum to ensure staff can raise issues, contribute to decision-making, and shape improvements in our workplace. This commitment supports a fair, inclusive, and productive workplace for all.
We are a registered charity, as well as being members of the STA (Swimming Teachers’ Association) and STA Approved Training Centre, Mountaineering Scotland (Associate Member), Scottish Swimming, Green Tourism and Social Enterprise UK. We are also accredited as a real Living Wage employer.
